Hey Everyone,
After being asked a lot of questions by my dear juniors, I have thought to write this blog post wherein I can answer those repetitive questions asked me in chat as well as sharing my experience out there.
Firstly, Mysore is a great place in terms of weather conditions. You hardly need any winter wears out there. So, you can travel lightly with less woolen clothes out there.
Mysore is also a good heritage city of India, thereby a good place to roam around. You also have good site seeing spots around Mysore viz. Ooti, coorg, Waynard and many others plus Mysore is also one of them, although you won’t find much in it.
Coming now to Infy Campus, well its great. You enjoy world class facilities in terms of living and working. Now let me answer some of questions that will throw some more light in what you are interested in.
Q). What do I need to take while going to Mysore?
Ans) Well, you will probably need just a bag which contains—
a)Some formal clothes. (They will be mostly required as you have almost 4 days in formals) + some other casuals
b) Documents (originals and Xerox)—the details will be mailed you by infy itself.
c) Some money before you gets your first salary.
Rest you may take as much as you feel easier to take away.
Q) Can I take my laptop as well?
Ans) As per my knowledge, laptops are not allowed in the campus out there. Check with the latest policies from the helpline that is provided to you in the email. Hence, from my perspective you should not take any laptop or pen drive to the campus else you will have to submit it to the reception.
Well the next question is quite interesting and mostly asked.
Q) Will the training be very hectic? Will I be able to enjoy (any actually they mean) facilities provided in the campus?
Ans) well, it depends. If you can clear your concept in one go you can easily go off by the EOD. Just a tip, focus on each and every line of slides. You will probably get max. of the questions directly from the slides lines.(So make a point to go through each one). Further, in the mid half after lunch, ensure that you finish your practical (lab session) by the end of the day. And, thus the life will be great to you. Further, you have weekend (2 days to enjoy). Try using all facilities out there and have fun.
Finally, just want to say that enjoy there as much as possible. I don’t want to spoil all anxiety by telling each details. Thus, have a great day out there and finally, training is fun.
Enjoy.
